Maybe this isn’t a milestone to be celebrated. Tomoe is sick. She has her first cold. Luckily, it’s mostly just a runny nose, and boy does it run! She needs it cleared out quite often. We have something that sucks out the mucus into a small bottle, and she hates it. Every time it’s used, she struggles and fights against us, crying loudly. The look on her face when it’s done is saying “How could you do this?” Well, she’ll have to endure it until her cold is gone. She doesn’t seem to have any other symptoms, thankfully.
We’ve been hoping to get her to a baby centre these days, but thanks to her cold, we’ll have to start after she’s recovered.

I hope she starts to feel better soon. Nothing worse than seeing a sick little baby. I hate fevers, they look so sad and teary eyed.
Tomoe had a fever several months ago, when she was about 4 months old. It was pretty hard, she kept waking up in the middle of the night. She cried so much. But no fever with this cold. Just a runny nose. She’s her usual energetic self 🙂
aww, poor Tomoe… the first is the hardest on the parents, I think. Timothy has already had three. The first one but broke my heart! The last one… well, we just dealt with it.

Hoping she gets well really soon! Samuel just had his first one too and it was so hard on us. That nasal aspirator is evil, isn’t it?! 😉 Or that’s how they act. Of course, they act that way about a single tissue coming near their face too…
Yeah, she hates it so much. We also use cotton swabs to clean out her nose when she doesn’t have a cold. She hates that, too. She sometimes cries when we wipe her face after she eats.
